R2
OVERVIEW
The CECOM Rapid Response Program (CR2) signifies a new step toward acquisition reform and more responsive equipment support. The CR2 program provides a unique, innovative contract vehicle that succeeds the highly successful CECOM Rapid Response to Critical System Requirements (R2CSR) contract.
The CR2 program provides federal managers an efficient and effective means to acquire near obsolete items, thus sustaining crucial weapon systems, mitigating system downtime, and serving the military’s immediate needs. With the ultimate goal of better supporting the Warfighter, the contract scope of work will include such programs and services to provide aircraft, tracked and wheeled vehicles, ground support equipment, and shelters. The depth of the capabilities available under this Time and Material Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract plus Firm Fixed Price capability allows us to create a virtual concept to meet any and all client specifications.
Customers will participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPT) and monitor progress on their requirement through a user-friendly Integrated Data Environment (IDE). All contracts related to technical, non-technical, and management personnel will be customer specified so that the client will be able to identify the exact cost for various skills. Work can also be accomplished at virtually any location desired by the customer.
Scope
The Army's Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) CR2 is deliberately broad in scope to allow for the greatest flexibility in responding to federal contracting needs. Every type of engineering support service is available providing maximum breadth to accommodate the entire federal inventory. AP&SS offers the capability to outsource to vendors and suppliers beyond team members in order to provide the desired service to meet customer requirements.
