Software Engineering

The IPKeys software engineering team is assessed at CMMI Level 3 for Development supported by ISO 9001:2008 certified Quality Control and Risk Management systems. We develop and integrate mission-critical software solutions using Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) models that are chiefly typified by continuous communication with our customers, frequent delivery of software updates, iterative improvement and testing, and strong emphasis on the delivery of desired functionality.

Process and Methodology

IPKeys provides software engineering lifecycle support utilizing best practice methodologies that leverage IT Service Management (e.g. ITIL v2011), Agile and Iterative development methodologies, and Project Management Processes and Procedures as defined in the Project Management Institute’s Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK). Under these best practices, our software engineering project management processes and procedures have been appraised at CMMI-Dev Level 3.

Development and engineering processes are tailored to each project and customer based on software objectives, schedule constraints, and stakeholder involvement. Our team has extensive experience using a variety of development methodologies including Agile, Iterative, and Waterfall. We establish a continuous improvement environment encompassing automated performance and security testing, automated release management and deployments, ongoing measurement against key performance metrics, and optimal configuration management.

CMMI Dev Level 3 Certified

IPKeys Federal Solutions Software Development has been appraised as Capability Maturity Model Integration® for Development (CMMI-DEV) v1.3 Level 3 as of November 2015. An appraisal at maturity level 3 indicates that IPKeys is performing at the prescribed “defined” level in which processes are well characterized and understood and are described in standards, procedures, tools, and methods.
