With the rapid rise of wireless local-area networks (WLANs) and public hot spots, there is a rapidly increasing trend in the application-driven Muni Wi-Fi market.  Improved public safety, enhanced first responder readiness, and better community services are amongst other reasons for the emergence of wireless meshes.  The first phase of deployment located around public safety and municipal building includes the installation of hot spots to seed the network architecture.  In the second phase, the network is expanded into a seamless wireless broadband cloud to create a mobility corridor.  As consultants and integrators, IPKeys will conduct all design work, implementation and network management of these wireless mesh networks.
